French theater in North Salem, also accompanied by a fine French bistro

Reminders of the French theater appoint this quaint little restaurant located in North Salem, NY. It is clear that this restaurant has been here for some time, which was apparent as we watched the locals stroll in between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the table spacing was very generous. The restaurant also had outdoor seating on an enlarged patio (See pictures below), which also had the added benefit of serving as a movie theater as classic black & white movies are shown in the summer at dusk. The noise level was very low and it was very easy to have a conversation.
The food quality was well above average and reminded me of several fine French restaurants in NYC. The service was fine and appeared to be a family-run affair. If you are a local, you will also likely be on a first-name basis with the staff. The bar area was also very inviting, which started to fill up while were having dinner.
For an appetizer I had the crab cakes, which were covered in an excellent sauce that also had a touch of spice. The shrimp cocktail was pan-grilled with spices, also very tasty. As a main course I had the pork tenderloin, which was very tender and moist, overall an excellent dish. The pork came with a mustard sauce, which had bacon and brussel sprouts, which I generously gave to my wife. I also had an order of French fries which were very crispy. My wife had the rib eye steak cooked medium rare which came with a very creamy potato au gratin. Both were very well cooked.
The cork fee is $25.00/btl.
